Northly was founded by Theron Beukes, a proudly South African entrepreneur born and raised in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, in the heart of Zululand — which is where the name “Northly” was inspired from.

After spending nearly two decades in the corporate environment, Theron developed a deep understanding of the importance of quality products, reliable service, and putting customers first. Over the years, one thing always stood out: the small frustrations in everyday life are often the ones worth solving.

A lifelong interest in technology, gadgets, and practical innovation eventually led to the discovery of products that genuinely make everyday life simpler and more convenient — technology for the everyday person.

Before launching Northly, Theron personally tested and used the first Northly product in his own daily life for nearly a year to ensure it delivered the convenience, reliability, and simplicity modern consumers expect. Only once he was fully confident in the product did he decide to bring it to the South African market through Northly.
